A Brewing Essential

A precision coffee scale needs a precision calibration weight to match, so Acaia decided to build its own. Now you can ensure that your measurements are the same as those of your collaborators! Keep your scale working as precisely as possible.

The Acaia 100 g Calibration Weight follows the same aesthetic as their scales, with the Acaia logo laser-etched on the top and side. Acaia calibration weights are built to F2 class equivalent standards (+/- 0.0015 g) in their own facility. The durable stainless steel material ensures accuracy over time.

Essential for any scale owner, the Acaia Calibration Weight 100 g keeps your scale accurate week after week. With the Acaia logo laser-etched on the top and side.

In this video, Acaia demonstrates how to perform a smart calibration using an Acaia Pearl S scale with either a 100-gram or 500-gram calibration weight. Periodic calibration will help to keep your scale measurements accurate and consistent.

Why is Calibration so Important?

Acaia scales are precision instruments. The weighing sensor responds not only to weight but also to temperature effects, surface tilt, gravitational influence, voltage bias, etc. In order to rule out external factors and maintain the highest weighing accuracy of the scale, periodic calibration is advised. This procedure can be completed with a standard calibration weight like the one seen here.

For best results, Acaia recommends calibrating your scales on a regular basis, as well as whenever they are transported or moved to a new location. If you would like to read more about how to calibrate your scale, why it is recommended, and how often to calibrate, please see this help centre article from Acaia: What is calibration and why is it important?
